On a shore excursion from Tangier, which is located to the south, discover the quaint artists' town of Asilah. After meeting your driver and guide at the pier, take a beautiful drive along the Atlantic coast, passing through quaint fishing villages and sandy beaches. As soon as you get to Asilah, you can see Spanish, Portuguese, and Roman architectural influences.
Asilah is well-known in Morocco for its creative community and has a thriving cultural scene in addition to its white-washed homes. Start your tour at the Raisoul Palace, an early 1900s building that is still home to Brandit Raisouli. Head to the Medina, which is renowned for its Portuguese ramparts from the 15th century and its quaint white houses with shutters that mix blue and green to create a lovely promenade by the sea. Before treating yourself to one of Asilah's seafood specialties at a nearby restaurant, explore the Souks.
Return to Tangier and end your Asilah shore excursion at the pier after some free time for a stroll along the beach.
