We will start our deep tour of Fes over breakfast at your hotel or riad. The itinerary includes stops at the renowned Tanneries, exquisite Mosques, Medrasas, and the kilns of the Fes Pottery in addition to visits to the Mellah, Medina, and Souqs. And we'll visit the renowned Museum of Moroccan Art and stroll around the ramparts with their multitude of babs.
We commence our journey by traveling through the Mechouer to get to the striking Dar el-Makhzen. After stopping for about fifteen minutes at the magnificent seven bronze gates of the Royal Palace, we'll move on to the Borj sud to get a broad perspective of the Medina.
We then start a walking tour of the UNESCO-designated ancient Fes Medina, which is a maze. We'll visit famous sites like the el-Attarine Medrasa, the Kissaria and Draz Quarters, the Karaouine Mosque and University, and the well-known tanneries on the Oued Fes bank as we wind through narrow lanes.
We travel on to the Zaouia Moulay Idriss before arriving at the charming el-Nejjarine Square, complete with Plaza and fountain. We'll take a break and have a light lunch at one of the quaint Medina restaurants (drinks not included).
